Edmond Bulldog Youth Football Association is a not for profit organization. EBYFA purpose is to develop "Count on Me" individuals in the Edmond Community. EBYFA mission is to use athletics to promote education, health awareness, self-confidence, and teamwork. We are dedicated to providing quality instruction, coaching, and competition in a fun and safe environment.
We are proud and very excited to announce that the Edmond Bulldog Youth football Association will be a member of the Indian Nation Football Conference this upcoming 2016 Season. We will be joining Norman, Stillwater, Choctaw/Nicoma Park, and Mid-Del in expanding the INFC(West) to the OKC metro.
Why did we make this move?
The eastside schools such as Union, Broken Arrow, Bixby, Owasso, Jenks, Sand Springs, Sapulpa, etc have been playing in this league for the last 20 years. Union and Jenks have won the last 19 6A State Championships. In order for us to have a chance our youth programs must be at the same development level as our competitors. We are taking our youth development to another level. INFC we provide the best competition and highest level of youth football possible in the state of Oklahoma. We want our youth football players playing against Jenks, Owasso, BA, and Union at a younger age to level the playing field. It is the development of our youth and youth coaches that will give us the best chance to bringing the Gold Ball back to the west side! You can find more information about the INFC league at the following link:
What age groups?
The INFC is organized by grades. The EBYFA will have teams starting in the 1st thru 6th grade. 7th Grade football will not be offered because the kids begin school ball in the 7th grade.
Will there be travel involved?
Yes, there will be some travel to the Tulsa area sporadically, but that is okay because they will travel here also. The INFC officials are working out the specifics now, but they will make decisions on what is best for players and parents as a whole. With the addition of Stillwater, Norman, and Mustang that will help cut down travel. The EBYFA will be making plans to minimize the factors in travelling. We will work together on this.
Games in the INFC are played on Saturdays on High School Fields. Our home field will be at the EMHS practice field where we have seating, scoreboard, and PA system. This was an accomplished by our Head Coach Justin Merideth, he was very adamant about making this move happen for the future of EMHS football.
